Will Mase keep the shutout streak going? How many periods will it get to?

It's a given. The Flyers will outshoot the Jets 55-15, and only give up one goal which will be a double deflection off of Ghost and Manning. However, Mason will play the game of his life and stop all 55 shots and they will go on to lose, 1-0.

This simply has to happen, because Flyers.

From a gambling perspective this game screams over, might get some nice odds with Flyers being shutout last two games. Winnipeg/Philly overs always hit.

I know you aren't going to call up a dman to face a team because of their size but it would have been interesting to see Morin face that size. Flyers need to get their speed and quickness going here

There’s no way I’d bring Patrick back for his first game vs Winnipeg. Flyers tend to get pummeled by this team.

I would have liked to have seen Morin go up against Joe Thornton in game one. I would have liked to have seen him both times against the Ducks. Learn on the job if puck handling might be his biggest weakness.

In their first game back in the lineup last night off injury, Morin and Myers were awful. In fairness, the Phantoms as a whole have been atrocious the last two games. The team is turning pucks over left and right, coverages are breaking down, Alex Lyon is struggling in net and the goals have become much harder to come by.

Bright spot last night: two goals by Mike Vecchione.

He's been struggling lately, too. Overall, he's been OK. I like him more than most seem to, though.

How has Lindblom been playing? Do you think he could come up and give them more on the wing than they are currently getting from Weise? It was very frustrating to see Weal set up Weise with a tape to tape pass twice last game only for Weise to fumble away the puck. I won't even go into his shooting the puck right into Dubnyk's midsection on the breakaway.

I kind of get what they see in Lehtera. He's strong along the wall, can win a faceoff and make a decent pass, but I really don't understand what they see in Weise. For a big guy, he's not very physical, has lousy hands and not much of a shot either. He seems to bring next to nothing to the table. He also contributes nothing on special teams and 15 games, 2 goals and 3 points is pretty disappointing for a guy who's playing regularly in the top nine.

in your opinion you think he can turn into a bottom pairing dman at the nhl level?

Despite the losses, they are still only 5 points out of 3rd place with 2 games in hand on the Penguins. Some other teams also have to catch up game-wise, but still not too bad. Hopefully they can score some goals tonight.

Lindblom was snakebitten early (hit post three times in first six games) and a bit uneven in his offensive effectiveness. Then he came on, and the points soon started coming in bunches. The last two games, he's been a non-factor for the most part but, as stated with others, the team as a whole has been awful the last couple games. One thing with Lindblom you can always count on, even when he's not producing points, is that he will be rock solid without the puck. Has only been out for two opposing 5-on-5 goals to date... and the Phantoms yield a lot of goals as well as scoring a lot.

I am hoping he can. I've always liked him. At least a number 7 type. Others would say he's a lesser Mark Alt (but I like Alt, too).

The guy who has really, really been struggling to make the adjustment to pro hockey so far has been Friedman. That surprised me because he was so good in camp. Just goes to show yet again that the regular season is a different level, even in the AHL.

I can't see any reason not to bring Lindblom up and play him ahead of Weise at this point. He is probably better defensively than Weise and certainly more skilled. Yeah, Weise may be a better skater, but if you aren't actually accomplishing anything with your speed, than it's really not a factor. Sure the kid may make a mistake or 2, but I can live with that. They aren't a contender, I'd rather have him here, fine tuning his game on the job, than have to watch Weise basically accomplish nothing.

Having played a number of games against men in Sweden leads me to believe that at this point, now that he's had some time to adjust to the size of the NA rink, his development would be better served by playing at the NHL level. The thing he needs to adjust to is the speed of the NHL game and he isn't going to learn that playing in the AHL.
